Operating Instructions

Step 1 - Crank the Handle: Begin by turning the handle in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Step 2 - Light Up the Sun: As you rotate the handle, the sun at the center of the model will gradually light up.

Step 3 - Eight Planets Rotated: The eight planets will start to revolve around the sun. Please note that the relative positions of the planets are not to scale but have been adjusted for the model's functionality.

High-precision steady-state laser cutting ensures that the parts fit precisely, with an error margin of just 5um (equivalent to 1/20th of a hair's diameter). This guarantees that all parts fit seamlessly, with snugly fitting bayonets.

Basswood from the high-latitude northern cold zone was chosen for its strength and durability. The wood boasts fine, uniform grain patterns, a silky luster, layers, and resistance to wear, corrosion, and cracking.

Movable Eight Planets

The model features a mechanical simulation of planetary trajectories driven by integrated gear transmission. Rotating the handle and engaging multi-layer gear transmission sets the entire planetary system in motion, providing an intuitive demonstration of the mechanical charm at play.

A multi-stage variable speed gear set, combined with a single star disk double running gear structure, ensures that the planets move smoothly.
